Need a car but worried about the cost? Access to clean transportation shouldn't be limited by income. You may qualify for up to $4,000 off a used EV or up to $7,500 off a new EV through Oregon's Charge Ahead program.

This program can help Oregon families lower transportation costs, reduce spending on gas and make cleaner transportation more accessible to communities that have historically faced the greatest barriers. Oregon residency is required.

After more than a decade serving as CEP's Board President, Jeff Cole is transitioning to Past President.

During his tenure, CEP experienced tremendous growth, including expanding our staff and hiring Executive Director Charity Fain. His leadership helped guide us through important milestones and positioned CEP for the future.

Oregon communities are facing greater risks as wildfires become more frequent and severe. CEP wants communities to be prepared for wildfires and safety outages, so we're working to make sure the people most affected have a voice in utility wildfire planning. We've been advocating for utilities to prioritizes feedback from communities living in high risk fire zones when developing Wildfire Mitigation Plans.

There's still time to make an impact this summer! Volunteer August 13–15 to help replace our client's roof.

Mr. Avecilla is an 87-year-old widower who has lived in his multigenerational Southeast Portland home for the past 25 years. He reached out to CEP for assistance with several critical home repair needs, including a leaking roof that has caused structural rot, a red-tagged furnace with a cracked heat exchanger that created a carbon monoxide risk, and inadequate insulation throughout the home. Completing the roof replacement is a critical first step and we need YOUR help.
