Did you know that County Office of Sustainability adopted its first-ever Climate Justice Plan? This plan creates a 10-year roadmap to protect our community from severe climate impacts and efforts to aggressively reduce climate emissions.

CEP was one of 13 organizations on the Steering Committee. We prioritized the needs of frontline communities throughout the CJP’s development and helped generate new and transformative solutions.

What happens when local leaders see the impact of clean energy upgrades up close? Last month, we organized for District 3 City Council candidates to tour Portland homes transformed by Community Energy Project and hear directly from homeowners about how upgrades like insulation, roof repairs, and heat pumps have affected their health, safety, and quality of life.

These conversations offer something that data alone can’t: a firsthand look at how investments in energy efficiency and home repairs can create safer, healthier, more stable homes, and why continued investment matters.
