¡Celebrando el éxito de nuestros talleres de salud sexual Me Cuido, Te Cuido!

Gracias a todas las personas que participaron y contribuyeron a crear un espacio seguro para aprender y dialogar sobre la salud sexual.

En comunidad y unión fortalecimos nuestros conocimientos sobre la prevención, detección y tratamiento de las infecciones de transmisión sexual. Promoviendo comunidades más saludables e informadas.

La información es poder.
La prevención es cuidado.
Hacerse la prueba es salud.
Hablar del tema rompe estigmas.

Starting in January 2026, our Nutritional Health Program increased food box deliveries to Latiné families experiencing food insecurity and being impacted by immigration policies. Through collaborations with food partners, and with the support of staff and many volunteers, the program was able to support 120 families each month. From January-June, we delivered a total of 720 food boxes to Latiné families during these very uncertain times.

En honor al Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, queríamos reconocer el increíble trabajo que realiza nuestro Programa de Salud y Clima para abordar los problemas climáticos y de salud que afectan desproporcionadamente a las comunidades latinés en Oregon. A través de capacitaciones como Clima, Salud y Resiliencia, talleres de preparación para emergencias y Cafecitos Climáticos, los miembros de la comunidad adquieren conocimientos, fortalecen su resiliencia y se conectan con otros para apoyar comunidades más saludables frente al cambio climático.

In honor of World Environment Day, we wanted to recognize the amazing work our Climate & Health Program does to address climate and health issues that disproportionately affect Latiné communities in Oregon. Through Clima, Salud y Resiliencia (Climate, Health and Resilience) training, emergency preparedness workshops, and Climate Cafés, community members gain knowledge, build resilience, and connect with others to support healthier communities in the face of climate change.

It is a time to celebrate and uplift LGBTQ+ communities but it is also critical to raise awareness and show support. This can be donating to a local organization, volunteering, attending and/or promoting events, and staying informed.

En nuestra 17.ª Conferencia Anual sobre Equidad en la Salud Latiné, nos reunimos para vivir una jornada centrada en la comunidad, la cultura y la sanación. Juntos, impulsamos la misión de Familia de realizar la sabiduría y la fortaleza de la comunidad a través de nuestra cultura, idioma y valores compartidos.

¡Estamos deseando verlos a todos en la 18.ª Conferencia Anual sobre Equidad en la Salud Latiné del próximo año! Hasta entonces, esperamos que se sientan empoderados para seguir creando espacios que promuevan la salud y el bienestar de la comunidad Latiné.

At our 17th annual Latiné Health Equity Conference, we came together for a day centered on community, culture, and healing! Together, we advanced Familias' mission to uplift community wisdom and strength through our shared culture, language, and values.

¡Felicidades a los graduados de la capacitación de RAYOS Primavera 2026!

Agradecemos la participación y el entusiasmo de todos durante las 6 semanas de capacitación. Aunque nuestros participantes ya se dedican al trabajo comunitario, el contenido impartido en la capacitación les ayudó a fortalecer sus habilidades como promotores de salud, tales como la organización comunitaria, la educación a traves de diferentes estilos y la comunicación. ¡Esperamos con interés seguir sus trayectorias como promotores de salud!

“Lo que me gusto mucho de la capacitación RAYOS fue que fue muy fácil de entender y muy practica. Aprendí muchas más herramientas utiles para poder seguir apoyando a la comunidad, en especial en temas de salud y prevención. Congratulations to the graduates of the RAYOS Spring 2026 training!

We're grateful for everyone's participation and enthusiasm throughout the 6 weeks of training. Although our participants are already engaged in community work, the content provided in the training helped them build their skills as CHWs, such as community organizing, educating in different styles, and communication. We look forward to their journeys as CHWs!

I learned many more useful tools to help me continue supporting the community, particularly regarding health and prevention. The 17th Annual Latiné Health Equity Conference is just around the corner! We are so excited to share space with our comunidad, to learn, and to make meaningful connections that lead to better health outcomes for our Latiné community.

Registration closes on Monday, May 11th at 11:59 pm. We have limited tickets left, don’t wait!

Live Spanish and English interpretation will be provided by our partner, Linguava. We want you to participate in the sessions you choose, in the language that feels most comfortable.

Want to support Familias and have a chance of winning a prize? Purchase a ticket for our 50/50 raffle! A 50/50 raffle is a fundraising event where the total money raised is split equally between a winner and the organization holding the raffle. Participants purchase tickets, and the winner takes 50% of the total ticket sales as a cash prize, while the remaining 50% goes to the organization (in this case, Familias).
