Golden Bond Retriever Rescue Goldens in need of new homes come from a variety of circumstances. Some of our dogs have not had a loving family in the past, but many have.

Golden Bond Retriever Rescue is an all volunteer run, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers and Retriever mixes. Some come to us due to compelling family situations such as death, divorce, family illness, relocation or economic hardship. Other Goldens are released to rescue because of behavior problems due to lack of exercise and poor understanding of the needs of the breed. Like many rescue organizations, we offer the benefits of being able to provide dogs who are already spayed or neutered, who have had a sound fundamental health examination, and whose temperament is fairly well known (since they have all lived with our foster families). Some may have behavioral problems, but many do not. And some need special medical care, just as most any dog will eventually. Many of our dogs need some level of training. All of our dogs need significant amounts of time, attention, patience, and love to adjust to their forever homes. Golden Bond Rescue is a resource for people who would like to give Golden Retrievers (or dogs that are mostly Golden) a second chance in life.

Gorgeous Annie is our October 2026 calendar dog!

Annie's owners report:

"Annie was our second Goldie, our first died at 16 weeks of age and crushed our hearts. Then came Annie to help us heal, and what a job she has done. Sweetest thing ever."

Annie's owner successfully bid to have them featured in our Calendar at our annual dinner and auction last year.

✈️✈️ Ella 4537 and Tucker 4538 have arrived!!! ✈️✈️

Ella and Tucker made the long journey from Korea and both are now safe in their foster homes! Thanks to the many individuals who made this possible:

International and logistics team, Rachel, Dave, Melissa , Vanessa and Jan
Our airport team of Maddie and Tammie
Transporters Tammie, Skye and Jim
Fosters Steve and Sara & Noah

Stay tuned for updates on these two as they settle into their foster homes.

If you're interested in adopting one of them, now would be a good time to submit an application if you're not already approved. We think these two "youngins" are going to be very popular.

❤️💙🐾 EXCITING NEWS!!! 🐾💙❤️

We're thrilled to announce the arrival of two more golden retrievers, Ella and Tucker, from South Korea tomorrow! Their photos don't reveal the heart-wrenching past they've overcome, especially Ella, who was rescued with injuries to her tongue and eyes that clearly were not accidental, a testament to the power of resilience of dogs. But what's truly remarkable is how they've blossomed into happy, playful dogs, thanks to the love and care of our incredible South Korean rescue teammates. Stay tuned for photos of their arrival and more details tomorrow!

🐾💛💙 SUCCESS SUNDAY 💛💙🐾

We recently got a wonderful update on Sadie who was adopted last year from GBRR. When surrendered to the rescue, Sadie was literally at death's door ( literally) with a blockage that ended up septic because it was ignored so long. We rushed her to the ER and although we weren't sure she was going to make it (see the last two photos), Sadie had a skilled surgeon and Sadie turned out to be a fighter! It's been almost a year since Sadie got adopted and clearly she's thriving!

Hello!! I wanted to take a minute and send some more photos and an update! Ms. Sadie has been an absolute dream of an addition to our family! Her zest for like is unparalleled to anything; she’s just so happy to do anything and everything. I swear there isn’t anything she doesn’t like. She has decided that she loves camping and that ball is life, especially if that ball is in water. She loves wrestling with her sister and cuddling with her kitty brother, and has everyone she meets falling in love with her!
