This is a Tiffany Koyama Lane Councilor Koyama Lane appreciation post. Teacher Tiffany has put in the work to meet with our members at work sites from our PCL, REC and SMW contracts at Community SUN Schools, parks, Lunch & Play and Arts programs, community centers, outdoor pools, and more. She has protected and defended front line workers’ jobs at city budget deliberations. She put in personal volunteer time to campaign for the Parks Levy. And, she is one of our most effective and accomplished legislators on city council. L483 is proud to have endorsed Teacher Tiffany’s re-election campaign for D3. We love having union leadership at Portland City Council and councilors who show us they are pro labor - not just say they are pro labor. Hope to see you all at a canvass in the coming weeks!

Relay members! We are
Members spoke up for what they wanted and thanks to Laborers' Local 483 Relay Bargaining team they were able to get a great contract for all Relay Resources members.

Oregon Zoo food service workers deserve fair wages! Informational rally at the Oregon Convention Center today! Levy restaurants at the Oregon Convention Center earn $3-5 more per hour than those at the Oregon Zoo. We are asking for wage parity for ALL workers!

Taking it to the streets! Literally! LiUNA 483, Laborers' Local 483 came out for our informational rally this afternoon. We are city workers, who want to continue to live and work in our communities. To do that we demand the city do better, be better and come to the table.
