Congratulations, OFNHP - AFT Local 5017!

🎉 BIG NEWS! Legacy Meridian Park Techs have reached a Tentative Agreement on their new union contract!

After months of bargaining, organizing, and fighting to protect their union, our members have won a new 20-year wage scale, raises, restored daily overtime, stronger workplace protections, and a new Labor Management Committee!

This victory comes after members successfully fought back a decertification attempt and stood together to demand a fair contract. Thank you to every member, steward, and bargaining team member who made this possible!

Next comes ratification, when members will have the opportunity to review the agreement, ask questions, and vote on their new contract.

Congratulations to Sapphire Rose City and Sapphire Gresham workers!

Two new units at Sapphire Rose City and Sapphire Gresham, both long-term care facilities in the Portland area, won union recognition just last week. As new units, they will now have access to the Essential Worker Healthcare Trust and fair wage scales as they prepare to bargain their first union contracts soon. Welcome to our Union!

We can’t let Christine Drazan lie and rewrite history!

I did some digging and found the statement she issued when Trump announced that he was sending troops to Oregon. Trump falsely depicted Oregon as a “War Zone” and Christine Drazan said nothing to correct the record.

Despite what she now implies, she did not oppose Trump sending troops into our state.

Thankfully, Tina Kotek and Dan Rayfield successfully fought off the troop deployment.

Starting Jan. 1, injured workers will receive increased wage replacement. That will make a real difference for lower-income injured workers.
