May is Mental Health Awareness Month so we're recognizing the power of our peer to peer support network and encouraging you to participate in a “Farmer to Farmer Check-In” this week!

The goal is to encourage connection and support within the farming community through simple but meaningful outreach efforts. We encourage everyone to do the following:

• Call or text a fellow farmer

• Host small group conversations

• Share experiences, encouragement, and support

• Promote self-care and wellness

A small check-in can make a big difference! Thank you all for your continued support in strengthening our community and reminding others that they are not alone.

Renovating cranberry bogs is an incredible amount of work. One of the many steps - installing new irrigation - is highlighted below with great drone footage from GreenCastle Media. A renovated bog will not only produce more cranberries per acre with the same (or even fewer) inputs, but it will allow the grower to farm more sustainably with improved drainage, uniform applications and significant water conservation.
