Our Stewardship team has been spending much of their time over the last few weeks at the Old Colony History Museum in Taunton. With the help of volunteers and community partners, Wildlands is close to completing its biggest Community Stewardship project to date with the creation of this beautiful outdoor landscape on the museum grounds.

This year, we revamped our Adopt-A-Birdhouse program to help us protect and observe Tree Swallows and Eastern Bluebirds. With the help of volunteers, we collected data on birds using the nest boxes at our preserves, and uploaded the data to CornellLab's NestWatch program to help researchers better support these species.

As the last of the Monarch Butterflies fly south for the winter, some have made a pit stop at Davis-Douglas Farm! Our headquarters is a haven for pollinators, featuring beautiful native plants such as this Purple Aster, which seems to be a favorite for butterflies.

Unable to make our weekly VolunTuesday projects? This Saturday, October 17, we will be hosting a VolunSaturday event at the Arnone Elementary School in Brockon!
