✈️ What an incredible evening of celebration, community, and support for education!

On May 16th, the Plymouth Education Foundation's Annual Gala took flight at Goulian Aviation, bringing together educators, community leaders, sponsors, volunteers, and supporters who share a passion for helping Plymouth students soar to new heights.

A heartfelt thank you to our gracious hosts at Goulian Aviation for providing the perfect setting for an unforgettable night. We are also deeply grateful to our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and every guest who attended and participated in making this event such a tremendous success.

Congratulations to all of our award winners. Because of your support, the Plymouth Education Foundation can continue investing in innovative programs, scholarships, and opportunities that help our students chart a course for success.

The Plymouth Education Foundation is pleased to present Kathy McMinn the 2026 the Adele Manfredi Excellence in Education Award. The award was created in memory of Adele, a founding member of the Plymouth Education Foundation, to honor those in Plymouth who exemplify an extraordinary commitment to education and the community. This year’s award recipient, Kathy McMinn was chosen for her commitment to music education. She shared her love of music, not only by teaching students in the Plymouth Public Schools, but for her outreach globally and sharing the talents of children world-wide with the Plymouth

The Plymouth Education Foundation is pleased to announce the recipients of awards to be presented at the 14th Annual Gala on March 29, 2025.

The Adele Manfredi Excellence in Education Award is presented to an individual who exemplifies the same extraordinary commitment to education and the community as Adele Manfredi, founding member of the organization. This year’s awardee is Guy Roy, former Plymouth Public Schools math teacher and K-12 Mathematics Coordinator. Guy was chosen for his commitment to math education in the Plymouth Public Schools, his dedicated work as part of the writing team of the Commonwealth’s MCAS (Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System) testing program and role in the development of PPS Professional Development Program.

The Robert C. Betters Founders Award, was established in 2023 to recognize another PEF founding member Bob Betters, as he retired from the Board. His belief in the mission of the Plymouth Education Foundation, to support students and staff by providing scholarships and grants, is at the core of the work the PEF continues to provide. This award is presented to a program that demonstrates outreach to students to make a positive impact on the school community. This year’s award is presented to the Unified Sports Program, which supports athletic teams for students with and without disabilities, who practice and play together to create an extraordinary experience for all students, coaches, and families.

The Visionary Award is being presented for the first time this year. It was created to honor an individual who has demonstrated the ability to inspire and ignite enthusiasm and whose vision for success has resulted in a positive, lasting impact on education in our community. The award will be presented to Linda McAlduff. Linda is recognized as the visionary whose dedication and inspiration was the impetus for creation of the Plymouth Education Foundation during her tenure as Chair of the Plymouth School Committee.

The Gala will be held at the Pavilion at Pinehills Golf Club on Saturday, March 29th . The event will include a silent auction with items donated by many generous Plymouth businesses.
