Take a look at one of the newer program areas at Squanto, the STEM area! Standing for “Science, Technology, Engineering and Museum”, this area is in the center of camp, including the Downey Classroom, Museum and parts of the old Sports obstacle course. 🧬🔬

From Summer 2025 to Summer 2026, we said goodbye to the Trading Post that defined camp for countless scouts, scouters and volunteers for decades, and hello to our new walk in Trading Post. Thank you to everyone who was part of this process!

15 years ago this weekend in September 2011, final preparations were made during an OA weekend at Camp Squanto in the original Bassett Hall, as the building was taken down and the new Bassett Hall opened in the same location for the summer of 2012. 🏕️

While many pieces of the old Dining Hall were saved, one is still in very active use. An original table from that building was brought over by some staff members to the back room of the Nature Lodge to be used by staff and campers. That table is still there to this day. 😊

At this OA weekend, a crew started clearing rocks and shrubs around the museum. Once cleared, tarps were inserted and bark mulch was added. It was a long work day!
