Have a sweet tooth? Try Kay's fudge recipe. It is carved into the reverse of her husband's grave marker.

EPITAPHS ARE DIFFICULT TO WRITE. How can one distill life’s trials, triumphs, and meaning into a few words, to be set in stone of all things? Dr. Wade Andrews felt that his long, rich life could only be summed up by his wife’s fudge recipe.

Andrews died in his home in 2000 and was buried in Logan City Cemetery. He was a missionary-turned-soldier, fighting in World War II before earning a doctorate in sociology. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn (Kay), who still lives in Utah. They had five children, 15 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren; thanks to his gravestone, they can now and forever taste exactly what he did when they indulge in Wade’s greatest joy.

Know Before You Go
If you'd like to ask for directions to the grave, the Logan City Cemetery office is open Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
According to an article in AP News, the recipe ecgraved calls for 1 TBS of vanilla. It should have read 1 TSP of vanilla. Oooops!

Thank you to everyone who came to clean gravestones at Union Cemetery over the weekend. We had lovely weather, good company, the leaves were just kissed with color and the setting - perfect. Union Cemetery is adjacent to Union Church and the pairing is quintessential New England.

The non- profit group the Friends of Burial Hill are hosting an event on Saturday, November 23 from 3 - 5.

ILLUMINATE THANKSGIVING 2019

A Plymouth 400 partner event.
Join the Friends of Burial Hill ( friendsofburialhill.org ) for a self- guided stroll through Burial Hill where many of the graves will be seasonally decorated and gently illuminated. As a special treat, FOBH member and talented piper, Rob Hanold will wander among the graves playing his Scottish small pipes.
This event is free and open to the public.
This is always a very busy day in Plymouth. You might want to view a map of available parking. https://parkplymouth.com/index.html

The website for the Plymouth Growth and Development Corporation (PGDC) and Park Plymouth in Plymouth, MA has been created for Plymouth residents, merchants, tourists and visitors traveling to the downtown business district, waterfront and North Plymouth areas.
