Last week our Auxiliary unit President, Maureen Macdonald, was presented 3 awards for our unit services at the Department of Massachusetts Auxiliary Convention:
-Best Overall Community Service Program
-Veterans and Rehabilitation
-Children and Youth
Thank you and congratulations to all our members who helped contribute their efforts in these areas. It truly takes a village and we have a good one. Great job!

Come join us for our summer meat raffles at the American Legion Post # 40 off of Federal Furnace Road. They are held every other Wednesday and start at 7 pm. Best tables and the meat is from our local butcher shop Piantedosi. So come join us on June 3 rd our first one at 7pm and as always thanks for your support for our Veterans and Veterans Post. Tomorrow, on National Poppy Day, wear a red poppy close to your heart. ❤️ Let it be a symbol of gratitude for the heroes who laid down their lives and a gesture of support for the brave men and women who still wear our nation’s uniform. 🇺🇸

There is a sign up sheet for the Memorial Dinner for Friday May 22 on our bulletin board and by the bar , please sign up by the 18th so we can try to get a head count! It's scholarship time at the post!

Applications for multiple Post 40 Legion, Auxiliary and SAL scholarships are currently on the bulletin board in the Post hallway. Some are open to the individual group members (Legion, Auxiliary, SAL) only, others are open to all Post 40 members. It will say on the top of the application form. Applications should be turned in by May 20, 2026. Alway nice to have a little help with those college bills. Good luck!
