At the height of feeling a big emotion, sometimes I want to take action to help pacify myself. But for me, that’s not a wise decision. First, I need to give myself some space to feel and then let the emotion settle. I may see things differently when I’m calm. There’s a lot to be said for breathing, resetting, and allowing a new perspective to emerge. ~ Rev Jane Beach

I do my best to make my mind a nice place to be. The way I talk to myself sets the tone for everything else. When I’m kinder to myself, it’s easier to be kind to the people around me, and it’s easier to let them be kind to me. I tend to walk softly through my day, and that feels good. ~ Rev Jane Beach

Healthy relationships are essential to self-care. They do not leave me questioning my worth. It’s not always about big, hurtful incidents. Sometimes the quiet pattern of feeling undervalued is enough. For me, the clearest sign is energy ~ it doesn’t feel good. Protecting my energy is not selfish. It is necessary. ~ Rev Jane Beach

Sometimes growth looks less like knowing exactly where I’m going and more like allowing a new awareness to guide my path. I no longer must keep choosing what doesn’t feel right. I’m allowed to change my mind, change my direction, and choose what fits who I am becoming. ~ Rev Jane Beach

What a beautiful thing it is to keep discovering parts of myself I never knew existed. Life has a way of changing us, surprising us, and showing us that we are never truly finished becoming. Today I give myself permission to grow into someone I haven't even imagined yet! ~ Rev Jane Beach

A friend posted a video about a man who showed kindness to a stranger just by spending time with him, giving him a safe space to feel his feelings. Tears were rolling as I watched it. Kindness shows up in so many ways, and people post many of those circumstances. How beautiful it is to see it in action! ~ Rev Jane Beach

Nature seems to overflow with joy in the way it lives—fully, effortlessly, without hesitation. Every leaf that unfurls, every breeze that dances through the trees, every bird that sings at dawn does so without needing a reason, as if to exist is to celebrate. The joy of nature invites me to remember that life itself is a gift, and in simply being, there is enough reason to feel joy. ~ Rev Jane Beach

Rumi said, "Some things are not late; they are just not ready yet. A flower does not bloom early, the sun does not rise early, and what is meant for you will not miss you. Be patient with your life." My journey doesn’t need to bloom on anyone else’s timeline. Today I grow gently, trust deeply, and let my season unfold naturally. ~ Rev Jane Beach

Curiosity can lead to courage. I don’t have to see the whole path to take the next step. Sometimes all I need is a little light, a little trust, and the willingness to keep moving toward what feels alive. Maybe the path makes sense only after I’ve walked far enough to look back. So much growth, self-confidence and excitement about life! ~ Rev Jane Beach

My answer to Einstein’s question, “Is the universe a friendly place or not?” determines which path I’ll go down. From experience I now believe that the universe is friendly. Trusting that this is so, here's to another day of letting go as needed and welcoming change as needed, knowing that through it all I am wrapped in continuous, boundless grace. ~ Rev Jane Beach
