Keep Plymouth Leafy KPL is a non-profit organization of neighbors committed to positively enhancing the leafy, tree-lined character of our Plymouth streets and parks.

Keep Plymouth Leafy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that seeks to grow and maintain a strong urban tree canopy in Plymouth, Michigan, in order to provide important physical, aesthetic, recreational, and economic assets to existing and future residents of our city. Share with your neighbors who care about preserving the charming, tree-lined streets of our DTP neighborhoods and ensuring Plymouth is a desirable place to live for generations to come!

Good news for our native species and landscapes! The headline for tree lovers: Bradford pear trees will now* be on the prohibited list. Many people love the look of these trees and they were used extensively for the last many decades, but they are invasive.

*They have not been planted as a public tree in City of Plymouth for several years.

Four popular shrubs and trees will be illegal to sell after a phase-out period for the nursery industry. Two aquatic plants face immediate prohibition next month.

It was a small turn out at last nights Tree Blitz (mulching of trees) at Rotary Park but we “gotter done”. Drive by the park, better yet, walk by the park and enjoy the trees.
