Today is National Friendship Day, so I wanted to introduce you to my best friends.
Kennadie Austin is our Miss Legacy and we met long before Sweeps! When she competed for Miss Nebo Organization last year, she danced to an Elvis medly. My sister Caroline Jensen is a huge Elvis fan, so we had to go talk to her and tell her how amazing her talent was. Then, we hit it off and have been friends ever since! We were in the same dressing room at Miss Utah, where we shared laughs and borrowed clothes. She is the kind of friend that will always show up, and always have time for you no matter what her schedule says. She's always willing to plan an event, bring a friend, and even drive the carpool. I'm so grateful to know her.
I met β’ B R IΜ T N E Β₯ β’ , our Miss Pioneer Valley , at Miss Utah. Her sparkly personality, giant smile, and darling wardrobe backstage immediately reminded me of Polly Pocket, so that's what I ended up calling her. π I'm constantly amazed by her willingness to serve, and her innate ability to walk in the tallest platform heels known to womankind. She lights up every room she walks into, and she's such a joy to be around.
Shaye Johnson is our Miss Zion and she is a force to be reckoned with. She is the human definition of a hustler, and I'm so impressed with her drive. If she sets her mind to something, she will do anything to make it happen. It was always my dream to be in a parade, and she went ahead and got us a spot in the Steel Days parade. She's a natural leader, and I'm so grateful she's in our sisterhood.
She's not a Sweeps Queen, but she has to be included in this post: Caroline Jensen She is my sister, and my BEST friend. She's my partner in crime, likeminded fangirl, and better half. I love playing Barbies with her, screaming karaoke songs in the car, talking nonstop about Marvel, and binging the X-Men. She knows me better than anyone else, and I can't imagine life without her. She's a fantastic photographer and support system, but overall, she truly is my best friend.
