Congrats to our state award winners. Someone from their school wrote how amazing they are and their accomplishments in the school/PTA. It moved on to the council level (us), then Region (all of Alpine School District), then State. These 3 individuals won on a state level. They are invited (plus their award writer) to a breakfast the first day of PTA convention and get a gift. They were also invited to the region reception dessert night and this was at the ASD school board meeting. Congrats!!

Thank you for all the work you do in the schools! Writing a state award is one of the requirements to be a Gold Star school. It happens every January. Be thinking of who you want to recognize next year, work with your PTA, and let’s give some state recognition to our incredible teachers, PTA leaders, support staff, and volunteers!

In the PG council we had 3 winners out of the 6 that won from our region. So proud of us and the work we are doing in PTA!! 💙

Congrats to our 2024-25 Gold Star school award recipients! Gold Star means these PTA’s are a well run, functioning PTA that have great things being done in the schools. They are hitting all the markers of advocacy, development, and engagement.

They have $30,000 to give back to Alpine School District PTA’s.

If you don’t have a home school in ASD PTA, sign up under Pleasant Grove Council.

You DO NOT need to be a PTA member to join the fun.

They just invited ASD PTA’s to advertise and get a kickback on ticket sales. So come and help your local schools get 75% back PLUS, YOU can win some fun prizes and have fun with your family!

Want a no work fundraiser for your PTA and get 75% back to your PTA from the ticket sales? Sign up to register for this fundraiser provided generously by Traverse Mountain Outlets at the link below to get your school entered to participate in the give back program of the Traverse Mountain Outlets. All work is done for you.

You MUST register by Friday, August 30 to participate. Set it then forget it. If you don’t register to participate and someone in your area wants to attend, they won’t be able to because the drop down menu to click on what school they attend won’t be there.

If you do choose to participate and advertise this, if you sell 100 tickets you get more money back from the side pool of money Traverse has to give away.

You get 75% back of all proceeds, but they do require you to have 2-3 people help with the carnival booths for 1 shift (of 2) during the event. Super easy and you get a LARGE kickback. Traverse requires each store to provide a donation fund each year—that is what they are giving away, which is a HUGE pool of money and they generously asked Region 9 (ASD) to be the beneficiary this year.

Please sign your school up to participate to make this big and get lots of $$ for your school with a minimal commitment.

This is happening tomorrow (Monday). To prepare for upcoming elections, there is an ASD District 5 School Board Candidates Debate Monday at 7pm in the American Fork Veterans Hall (53 N Center St AF). Come learn more about the candidates running for school board and their positions on different issues. District 5 covers part of American Fork, most of PG, and Lindon east of State Street. This year there are ASD school board seats up for re-election in districts 3, 5, & 6, so watch for local debate info if you are in a different district. **While PTA does not endorse individual candidates, we encourage all community members to be educated about upcoming elections and to vote.** If you can’t make it, there will be a recording that you can watch in the future.
