When you think of youth homelessness, what comes to mind?

For many young people, homelessness doesn't always mean sleeping on the streets. It can mean moving from couch to couch, staying somewhere unsafe, or not knowing where they'll sleep next.

And for those who do find a safe place to stay, the need for support doesn't end there.

There are a lot of misconceptions about youth homelessness, and understanding what it actually looks like is an important part of showing up for the young people experiencing it 💙

WHAT A MONTH! September was one for the books here at City House 💙

From incredible community support to North Texas Giving Day, celebrating our people, and our biggest night of the year — there was a lot to be grateful for….

Thanks to our incredible community, North Texas Giving Day brought together donors, fundraisers, friends, and supporters to help provide safety, stability, and hope for young people across North Texas.

Every gift was part of something bigger — and we’re so grateful to everyone who made the day so impactful. 💙

20 YEARS with LISA RODGERS! 🥹💙

This month, we got to celebrate a pretty incredible milestone — 20 years of our Chief Relationship Officer pouring into City House, our community, and the young people we serve.

Two decades of showing up, building relationships, and helping move this mission forward. We’re so grateful for all the heart she’s given City House over the years — and so glad we got to celebrate her!

It takes a village to bring Game Changer Gala to life! ♟️✨

From setup to the final moments of the night, our incredible volunteers jumped in wherever they were needed. We truly couldn’t do nights like this without people willing to give their time and energy to City House 🤍

And of course… Game Changer Gala! ♟️🥂

What a NIGHT. Our community came together in a huge way, helping us raise more than half a million dollars in support of the young people we serve.

We’re still taking it all in — and still incredibly grateful to every sponsor, guest, donor, volunteer, and friend who helped make it possible. 💙

Because of you….we raised INCREDIBLE funds to go towards protecting, empowering, and transforming youth experiencing abuse, neglect, and homelessness.

For youth in North Texas experiencing abuse, neglect, and homelessness - this is not just a number. It is hope for a future filled with possibility!

It’s 24/7 crisis consultation. It’s crucial therapy. It’s warm meals. It’s new clothes. It’s a safe place to sleep. It’s the knowledge that they matter not just to us at City House, but to YOU. Their neighbor. Their teacher. Their friend’s parent. Their community.

Thank you does not even begin to encompass the gratitude we have for every guest, every sponsor, every volunteer. YOU made this happen.

Now we challenge you, keep it going! Keep showing up, keep donating, keep volunteering. The need is very real, it’s very close, but with you, children all across North Texas are given a second chance at a future they can be proud of! What’s your next move?

A safe place to sleep. A conversation at the right moment. An opportunity to begin imagining a different future.

For more than 35 years, City House has been creating those opportunities for children, youth and young adults experiencing abuse, neglect, and homelessness across North Texas. Through shelter, counseling, transitional living, street outreach and other critical services, their team helps young people move toward safety, stability, and independence.

This Saturday, that mission takes center stage at the 2026 Game Changer Gala, an evening inspired by the idea that thoughtful action, bold leadership and a community working together can change what comes next.

For the fourth consecutive year, Mayan Technologies has the privilege of supporting City House and the Game Changer Gala.

We look forward to joining City House and the North Texas community for an evening dedicated to the young people at the center of it all.
