The Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth (JASDFW) is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to promoting positive U.S.-Japan relations in north Texas. Founded in 1970, the Society provides a regional forum to explore the dynamic U.S.-Japan relationship and to encourage interaction among Japanese and Americans in our community.

What an incredible day at the Sendai International Half Marathon!

From the excitement before the race, to the energy along the course, to the celebration at the finish line, Team Dallas was proud to represent the Dallas–Sendai sister city friendship every step of the way.

A huge congratulations to our Team Dallas runners, Sarah Wagner and Alfonzo Gonzalez, for bringing heart, determination, and Dallas pride to race day. We were grateful to share this experience with our friends from the Hirosegawa Running Club, including Shiho Endo, who joined us in Texas for the Dallas Marathon, and to celebrate this special day with Mayor Kazuko Kohri.

More than a race, today was a beautiful reminder that friendship can be built mile by mile.
