Irene Ouazaa, Volunteer and President, and Chris Garduno, Board Member for Julia’s Center had the opportunity to attend Pitch Perfect: How Newsrooms Work and How to Work with Them last Wednesday, August 5th, at WFAA’s Studio in Downtown Dallas. The session was led by Emmy Award-winning Director of Community Impact Ryan Wood. We learned a great deal and look forward to putting these insights into practice.

Julia's Center for Healthcare received the 2026 Gold Standard seal from the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics given to clinics that ensure the medically underserved have access to affordable healthcare. The NAFC and its members are dedicated to ensuring that patients receive quality healthcare.

To qualify, NAFC Members voluntarily submit information to the NAFC on the various policies and procedures they have in place to attain their standards rating. Each organization attested/pledged that they successfully incorporate these standards within their organization. National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics (NAFC)
