We love seeing credit unions recognized for the difference they make! For Raiz Federal Credit Union, 90 years of serving El Paso have brought anniversary honors from Texas State Senator Cesar Blanco, Congresswoman Veronica Escobar, the El Paso County Judge and Commissioners Court, and the City of El Paso Mayor and City Council.

Founded in 1936 by seven educators, Raiz continues to put people first through financial education, scholarships, and partnerships with local schools and nonprofits.

Investing in people means planning for tomorrow and showing up today. These five credit unions are doing just that:

• Security Service Federal Credit Union: Purchased a San Antonio campus to support team collaboration and future growth.

• Mainstreet Credit Union: Plans new Lenexa facilities to improve team collaboration and include spaces for financial education and community gatherings.

• Wellby Financial: Developing a Friendswood headquarters designed for collaboration and continued growth.

• Oklahoma Central Credit Union: Employees helped raise funds for City Lights’ work supporting people experiencing homelessness.

• Tinker Federal Credit Union: Shared financial tools with local entrepreneurs alongside the Greater Oklahoma City Asian Chamber of Commerce.

Different efforts, one shared purpose: people helping people.

Fighting fraud takes teamwork, and credit unions are doing their part.

Representatives from the Arkansas Credit Union Association and several Arkansas credit unions joined more than 800 participants at the Arkansas Attorney General’s Fraud and Consumer Protection Summit to share insights and strengthen efforts to protect consumers.

Karyn Davis, president and CEO of UP Federal Credit Union, brought the credit union perspective to the “Fighting Financial Fraud: A Collaborative Approach” panel.

Thank you to the credit union leaders who are helping strengthen the partnerships needed to identify threats, combat fraud, and protect Arkansas communities.

What an inspiring kickoff for the KC Metro Sister Society! After months of collaboration, Alexa Graham, Chrissy Rossow, and Daylene Wittman brought together women leaders from across Kansas City’s credit union community for a morning filled with connection, inspiration, and a little bit of pink.

The morning buzzed with energy—brunch, vibrant networking, and thoughtful touches like pink notebooks for every attendee. A lively game brought everyone together, and Suzanne left with a beautiful pink scarf as a fun prize!

A highlight of the event was hearing from Deonne Christensen, CEO of Mazuma Credit Union. Deonne inspired us with her candid leadership journey, sharing how she found her purpose and the importance of lifting others as you rise. Her stories, laughter, and wisdom reminded us that true leadership is about empowering those around you—and that some moments are just for Sister Society!

Most importantly, this event was about women supporting women: building connections, sharing encouragement, and growing together. The KC Metro Sister Society is just getting started, and we can’t wait to see the incredible impact this community will have. Here’s to new friendships, bold leadership, and a future where we all rise together! 💪✨
