This is an island in Uganda which we work on putting widows in business. Coming there empty handed is not possible. A 1.00 loaf of bread has caused grown men and women as well as children to dance and they are grateful that their families will not go to bed hungry that day.

Do you know that as little as 50.00 can change a widow's life in developing countries? This was a widow from Eastern Uganda in a village along the border of Kenya. We went there to put her in business and arrived for a funeral. She had just finished burying her 6 year old daughter that had died from hunger a few hours prior. All I could do was let her cry and see to it that her and her son did not meet the same fate. She has been in business now six years through weepsinternational.org
