Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy

Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy Improving quality of life for the people of Pittsburgh by restoring the park system to excellence in partnership with government and the community.

Recently celebrating its 25th year, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy was founded in December 1996 by a group of citizens concerned with the deteriorating conditions of Pittsburgh’s historic city parks. A non-profit organization, the Parks Conservancy works closely with the City of Pittsburgh under an official public-private partnership agreement to restore and improve the city’s park system to its

full potential. To date, the Parks Conservancy has raised more than $130 million and completed 22 major park improvement projects. The Parks Conservancy works with thousands of volunteers and provides programming for more than 7,500 children annually.

The Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy’s Trackhair program is helping open up the trails of Frick Park to individuals with disabilities and mobility challenges—making it easier for more neighbors to experience the beauty of Pittsburgh's parks.

As we work to make parks more accessible for everyone, small actions from all of us make a big difference.

Please remember to keep dogs leashed as this helps ensure trails remain safe, welcoming, and easy to navigate for all visitors. 🐶 And don't forget about our designated off-leash dog areas where our four-legged friends can roam free!

Thanks to our friends the Pittsburgh Park Rangers for helping us keep our trails safe for everyone.
