NCC is pleased to welcome James Campbell to the team!

He will be teaching M2K classes on Monday and Wednesday evenings, as well as Saturdays.

James brings a strong background in both education and industry. He previously taught manufacturing, robotics and Microsoft Office courses to high school students in the Puyallup School District in Puyallup, WA. His professional experience includes positions with Alpha Precision Machining and Watts Specialties in the aerospace manufacturing sector.

He earned his Teaching Certification in Career and Technical Education from Bates Technical College in Tacoma, WA.

James is passionate about helping others achieve their goals. “Seeing the people around me grow and succeed is my primary focus everywhere I go, whether it’s at the workplace or my neighbor’s house,” he said. “When the individual succeeds, we all succeed.”

He hopes his personal educational journey will inspire students facing challenges. Some students “like to hear that I did not finish high school but instead went the GED route. It can be encouraging for a struggling student to hear that further education maybe wasn’t the path early on, but things turned out okay and success can still be found in life.”

"Bluing" is a great introductory skill to learn during "Quick Train", the first month of our MANUFACTURING 2000 (M2K) machinist pre-apprenticeship program.

Getting a part prepared for proper layout is critical to success with their 2nd NIMS - National Institute for Metalworking Skills credential they are attempting to earn, "Job Planning, Benchwork, and Layout".

When successful, they will add this credential to their previously earned "Measurement, Materials, and Safety" credential.

Whether in Pittsburgh OR in Latrobe...these folks are forging a pathway to job placement and a life-long career!

At New Century Careers, we pause this Memorial Day to remember and honor the brave American heroes who gave everything in service to our nation.

Because of their sacrifice, we are able to live, work, learn, and pursue opportunity in freedom. Today, we pay tribute to the fallen soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, guardians, and all members of our Armed Forces who made the ultimate sacrifice for this great country.

To the fallen — we remember your courage, your service, and your sacrifice. Your legacy will never be forgotten. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day, may we all take a moment to reflect with gratitude on the true cost of freedom.

Yesterday, we took a few hours away from our shop so that our M2K trainees could experience a huge shop!

Thanks to Kawneer, the , and Arconic for hosting our trainees on a tour of their facility in Cranberry, PA!

During our tour we observed shipping/receiving, press and extrusion, anodizing, fabrication, assembly, and inspection. The trainees also learned from Josh, Kevin, Jamie, and Emily about career options and the career pathways that have led them all to successful manufacturing careers.
