Club President Eric Moye helped students who secured internships through the Homeless Children’s Education Fund shop for professional clothing. Each student received a gift card with $300 to start building a professional wardrobe. There were some savvy shoppers in the group!

Great time this morning volunteering at the Bloomfield Market where we helped set up, take down, attempted directing shoppers to the strawberries, petted lots of dogs, and - actually most importantly - helped count the number of market-goers coming in the various entrances! (Marco Arroyo and his wife, Tonnatzint, had to leave before we remembered to take pics!). Thank you, Rotarians for helping out today!

Thank you, Dr. Paul Spradley, for talking with us about your important work in justice-centered leadership. All of us have a part to play in advocating for equitable outcomes and behaviors for all people. Conversations like these challenge us to think more deeply about how we lead, serve, and create opportunities that will build stronger communities and organizations.

Leadership is more than making decisions. It’s about ensuring those decisions create fair and equitable outcomes for everyone they affect.

The Rotary Club of Pittsburgh is looking forward to welcoming Dr. Paul Spradley as our guest speaker on Wednesday, June 3. Dr. Spradley will share insights on justice-centered leadership, an approach that emphasizes advocacy, equity, inclusion, and the behaviors that help leaders build stronger communities and organizations.

Dr. Spradley serves as Executive Director of the Ketteler Center for Peace, Justice, and Inclusion at La Roche University.

As Rotarians, we are called to put service above self. Conversations like these challenge us to think more deeply about how we lead, serve, and create opportunities for others.

We hope you'll join us for what promises to be a thoughtful and timely discussion. The lunch meeting will be held at the Omni William Penn Hotel, downtown Pittsburgh. Registration opens at 11:45 am. Scan the QR code below or register through our calendar: https://lnkd.in/e8knazP

The Rotary Club of Pittsburgh welcomed Pittsburgh Mayor to lunch yesterday, along with a strong turnout of Rotarians and guests from across the region.

Mayor O’Connor shared his perspective on where Pittsburgh is headed and answered a lot of questions on issues that matter to our community, including public transportation, downtown safety, business development, and supporting the small businesses that help drive our local economy. He also reflected on the success of the NFL Draft and the opportunity to build on that momentum with future large-scale events.

Conversations like these are part of what Rotary does best: bringing together community leaders, professionals, and engaged citizens to discuss challenges, share ideas, and stay connected to the future of Pittsburgh.

If you’re looking to expand your network, engage with civic leaders, and make a meaningful impact in the community, we invite you to join us at an upcoming Rotary Club of Pittsburgh lunch. We meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at the Omni William Penn. Check out our website for info on our meetings and upcoming events! https://www.pittsburghrotary.org/

Thank you to Erica Hilliard Photography for the wonderful pics!
