Foundation of HOPE None of what we do is possible without our compassionate volunteers, staff, and supporters. Pittsburghers have shown they care.

Foundation of HOPE is a nonprofit organization dedicated to "empowering people impacted by the criminal justice system to renew their faith, rebuild their lives, and restore positive relationships." The Foundation of HOPE continues to be the leader in successful reentry and is changing the narrative when it comes to Youth Diversion as we strive towards abolishing local school to prison pipelines. We are committed to offering second chances to our participants and witness transformation on a daily basis in those youth, men, and women who take advantage of our programs. Presently, we are on track to serve three times as many clients as we served last year. It has been said that people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. We know the reality is we are all one bad decision away from being incarcerated, separated from our loved ones, our family, our friends, our children, our community, or our place of worship. To our volunteers, supporters, funders, and sponsors: We are forever grateful for your support.

This role is a unique opportunity to support our mission by coordinating our volunteer program while providing essential day-to-day human resources support. You’ll help recruit, onboard, train, schedule, and engage volunteers while also supporting employee onboarding, recruitment, training compliance, personnel records, and employee engagement.

The Coordinator plays a vital role in connecting employees, volunteers, program leadership, community partners, and organizational leadership — helping ensure that our mission continues to reach those who need it most.

We’re proud to announce that Foundation of Hope has partnered with The Awakening Experience — an experience like no other, created to help young people recognize their potential, shift their perspective, and choose a different path.

Parents and guardians now have an opportunity to enroll young people who may be heading down the wrong road or struggling to see a positive direction for their future.

Over the course of three powerful days, The Awakening Experience is designed to challenge mindsets, inspire purpose, build confidence, and awaken the greatness that already exists within each young person.
