The Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Pittsburgh is now accepting applications for the Parliamentarian position on our Executive Board!

This leadership role is essential in ensuring our organization operates with integrity, structure, and adherence to our governing documents and parliamentary procedures.

Role Responsibilities

The Parliamentarian will:
📌 Ensure meetings follow bylaws and proper parliamentary procedure
📌 Serve as an advisor to the President and Executive Board on governance matters
📌 Maintain and interpret chapter bylaws, policies, and governing documents
📌 Support the development and review of policies, motions, and amendments
📌 Ensure fair and orderly conduct during Executive Board and General Body meetings
📌 Assist board members and committee chairs in understanding meeting procedures
📌 Partner with leadership to uphold organizational integrity and accountability

Skills & Qualifications

✔ Strong communication and leadership skills
✔ High attention to detail and organizational ability
✔ Ability to navigate conflict resolution professionally
✔ Integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
✔ Working knowledge of parliamentary procedure and Robert’s Rules of Order (preferred)
