We celebrate and share the gracious love of God who welcomes everyone to the table of grace, peace and light. Worship at 10:45 am Sundays.

Our mission is to be a community that encounters the God who transforms lives, to extend hope and sanctuary on the Northside, to seek justice and peace in the world, and to see and celebrate all God's people.

As the Season of Peace draws to a close, our call from God to be peacemakers does not fade. This year we did our collective reflection in worship a little differently through written responses. As we journey throughout the rest of this year we continue to discern how we are called to find inner peace, foster peace between neighbors, use our divinely inspired imagination to create a more peaceful world, and find ways to foster peace with our natural world. We remember our call to Peace from Romans 12:18, "if it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all."

Thank you to Pittsburgh Presbytery (PCUSA) for praying over our merger at today’s Presbytery meeting. As we live into our name of Beloved Community, join us in this prayer;

Gracious God, pour out your Spirit of power and truth upon the whole church, that we may be for you a holy people, baptized to serve you in the world. Sustain Beloved Community in ministry. Ground them in the gospel, secure their hope in Christ, strengthen their service to those on the margins and increase their love for one another. Show them the transforming power of your grace in their life together as ONE church, that they may be servants of the good news, offering a compelling witness in the world to the life, death, and resurrection of Christ Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

When congregations merge in the PCUSA, they send historical documents and more to the Presbyterian Historical Soc. in Philadelphia. As we finish our merger between Community House and Riverview United Presbyterian Churches to become Beloved Community Presbyterian Church, we have packed up our almost 240 years of history to be logged and preserved. We are thankful for the time exploring our history and pray for those who will work towards preserving a long and well documented history.
