Pittsburgh’s AI ecosystem just landed another major win 🚀 Born out of pioneering AI safety research at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh-based Gray Swan has raised $40 million to scale its enterprise AI security platform. Co-founded by Matt Fredrikson and Zico Kolter, the company works alongside industry giants such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta to pressure-test frontier models before they reach the real world. Backed by a global network of 15,000 hackers, Gray Swan is building the safety infrastructure enterprises need to confidently deploy autonomous AI agents at scale.
