Violet Residents for Responsible Development Our mission encompasses 3 key tenants:
1.

Violet Residents for Responsible Development represents the residents of Violet Township and the City of Pickerington in a vision for the future of our community that focuses on resident friendly and responsible development. Put control of development of the community in hands of the current residents and effectively shift the power away from big developers seeking to profit from our hard work and investment in creating a community that is a desirable place for families to live.
2. Ensure locally elected officials are held accountable to residents they represent and stand firm against the influence of big developers.
3. Create a reasonable, responsible, and actionable development vision for the community that effectively balances desirable growth with a vision that ensures we maintain the look and feel of our community, the citizens understand the necessary tax burden development places on residents, and appropriately addresses environmental considerations.

Violet Township sold the northern portion of Violet Woods (formerly the Wigwam) to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center for the construction of an outpatient facility. As part of the agreement, the township must make infrastructure improvements including the addition of a roundabout near the lodge.
