The American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) strongly condemns a recent act of apparent trail sabotage at Montanaโ€™s Pipestone Recreation Area, where a child encountered barbed wire strung across a public access trail during Memorial Day weekend. The AMA is calling for the swift identification, apprehension and prosecution of those responsible.

The American Motorcyclist Association has chosen Square Deal Riders Motorcycle Clubโ€™s Mike Williams to head track preparation operations at the 2026 Roof Systems AMA Flat Track Grand Championship presented by All Balls Racing, which runs July 5-10 at the Du Quoin State Fairgrounds in Du Quoin, Ill.

"I'm really excited and honored for this opportunity to oversee track preparation for the AMA Flat Track Grand Championship,โ€ Williams said. โ€œWith my knowledge and experience of doing the track prep for a couple of decades now at my club and track, Square Deal Riders, I hope to help provide safe and competitive race tracks for the riders participating in this year's events."

Introduced by Rep. Brian Lorenz, HB 776 would legalize lane filtering in the Buckeye State. Lorenz spoke in support of this bill during a meeting of the House Transportation Committee on Tuesday, May 19.

The AMA is seeking interested Ohioans with a motorcycling background (long-time riders, riding instructors, etc.) who would be willing to testify in support of HB 776. Interested parties can contact [email protected] for more details.

Running May 27-31, in Lake George, N.Y., Americade is the next stop on the 2026 AMA National Gypsy Tour.

The Americade rally features guided and unguided rides in the Adirondacks of New York and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Attendees will also enjoy seminars, concerts, a vendor expo, demo rides and more during the festival.
