Motorcycle Ohio, a program of the Ohio Traffic Safety Office, will present two “Saved by the Helmet” awards in partnership with the American Motorcyclist Association Hall of Fame at their Fall Bike Night on Oct. 17. The award is given throughout the year to those who survive serious crashes while wearing a helmet.

𝐀𝐌𝐀 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐲𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐧-𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭

The American Motorcycle Heritage Foundation (AMHF) — located in Pickerington, Ohio, in Fairfield County — received a grant of $14,500 from the Fairfield County Foundation to help fund efforts to build the Motorcycle Rider Safety and Community Support Building on the organization’s campus in Pickerington, Ohio.

With construction planned to be completed by early 2027, the Motorcycle Rider Safety and Community Support Building will be a multi-purpose structure centered on storage of safety equipment and event supplies, as well as containing a dedicated office area that will support event registration, concessions, volunteer coordination, emergency response documentation and other operational activities during public events.
