Today is a special day. It's the birthday of one of the greatest gifts in my life, my kid Shaggy. You were extraordinarily unique, in the best way possible, smart, spoiled, and beautiful. There isn't a day I don't think, talk, reminisce, or cry over you, I painfully miss you. Happy Birthday to my Shaggs. Life isn't the same without you here. 🐈‍⬛💙

💥We're asking for your help! It's simple, I promise.💥

Did you know The Kroger Family of Companies have their Fry’s Food Stores Community Rewards program. This program makes fundraising easy by donating to local organizations based on the shopping you do every day. Once you link your Card to an organization, all you have to do is shop at Fry’s Food Stores and swipe your Shopper’s Card.

Here’s how it works:

1. Create an account

A digital account is needed to participate in Fry’s Food Stores Community Rewards. If you already have a digital account, simply link your Shopper’s Card to your account so that all transactions apply toward the organization you choose.

2. Link your Card to an organization.
Selecting the organization that you wish to support is as simple as updating the Fry’s Food Stores Community Rewards selection on your digital account.

Then...

A. Sign in to your digital account.
B. Search for your organization here.
C. Enter the name or NPO number of the organization you wish to support.
D. Select the appropriate organization from the list and click “Save”.

3. Your organization earns.
Any transactions moving forward using the Shopper’s Card number associated with your digital account will be applied to the program, at no added cost to you. Fry’s Food Stores donates annually to participating organizations based on your percentage of spending as it relates to the total spending associated with all participating Fry’s Food Stores Community Rewards organizations.

We have some very heavy, but important, news to share about our sweet boy, Theon. He recently faced a life-threatening crisis that led to emergency surgery. During the procedure, our medical team discovered a perforated ulcer in his stomach. The situation was critical, the stomach contents were free-floating in his abdomen, putting him at immediate risk for sepsis. The surgeons worked quickly to close the ulcer and perform an extensive lavage to save his life.

Following the surgery, we sent tissue samples for pathology to understand what caused the sudden and severe perforation. Unfortunately, the results confirmed our fears that TT has Large Cell Lymphoma.

This aggressive cancer weakened his stomach lining, leading to the emergency. TBone is a warrior, and we aren't giving up on him. We have already started him on a pretty aggressive chemotherapy protocol to fight back against the lymphoma.

As a 501(c)(3) rescue, we could not provide this level of specialized, life-saving care without you. Prayers, well wishes, and donations are needed. Your support is the reason TBone has a second chance at life. It's been 6 years since my baby Shaggy left this earth. When he took his last breath, it changed me. Shaggy was one of my first experiences as a rescue where I had the privilege to nurture and care for a tiny kitten. He was just a couple of weeks old when my friend Heidi Erickson rescued him from the road. The joy, responsibility and love I experienced from him was overwhelmingly some of the most joyful moments in my life. I do what I do for cats today because of him. I care for my rescues with the utmost care and compassion because of him. I have an undeniable bias towards black cats because of him. I love you my Basasa. I hope your in heaven with Granny suckling on your baba. 🤍🐈‍⬛
