A little lunchtime reading today. Just got through the forward and already learned something that will make our author visits more successful and exciting for the kids.

Our thanks go out to the awesome students at Desert Willow Elementary who held a book drive for the Barrio Bookmobile and donated some 800 books! And congratulations to Ms. Moritz' 1st grade class who collected an incredible 366 books— more than any other class! We really enjoyed visiting with the students and showing them the bookmobile when we went to pick up the books. We'd like to also thank Principal Baca-Dunlap, Ms. Moritz, and the students of the school's community service K-Kids club who organized the book drive.
