This morning, Valle del Sol celebrated the grand opening of Arizona Autism Family Medicine: A Valle del Sol Clinic -- and there is so much to be proud of.

This clinic is about making sure families have access to high-quality primary care in an environment that understands and responds to the needs of autistic children and their families. From sensory-friendly spaces to extended appointment times, every detail was designed with families in mind.

None of this happens alone. We’re grateful to Arizona Autism Charter Schools and Mercy Care for sharing this vision and helping bring it to life.

At Valle, we believe healthcare should meet people where they are. Today, we’re proud to take another step toward making that belief a reality for more families across our community.

Valle del Sol is proud to welcome Luis De La Cruz as our Chief Strategy Officer (CSO). Bringing a unique combination of enterprise strategy, consulting and impactful nonprofit executive leadership, Luis joins Valle del Sol’s Executive Leadership Team to spearhead enterprise strategic priorities, organizational growth, and community and strategic partnerships across Arizona.

Luis most recently served as President and CEO of the Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation (AFFCF) and will officially join Valle del Sol on August 31. During his four years as CEO, Luis drew on his former background as a consultant for Deloitte and his lived experience in foster care to scale basic needs, education, and workforce development services across Arizona.

As Chief Strategy Officer, Luis will leverage his background in data-driven strategy and community leadership to advance Valle del Sol’s long-term sustainability and expand access to integrated health and human services. His leadership will be instrumental in building high-impact partnerships, championing health equity, and elevating support for Arizona's most vulnerable populations.

Join us as we celebrate the grand opening and ribbon cutting of Arizona Autism Family Medicine, a Valle del Sol Clinic.

Made possible through a unique partnership between Valle del Sol, Arizona Autism Charter Schools, and the generous support of Mercy Care, this first-of-its-kind clinic brings whole-person primary care to the AZACS campus while serving families across the broader community.
