It’s the last stretch of our reading challenge and we’d love to be able to talk about it and present prizes at Septembers Coffee and Abolition!
We have a new preK through 9th grade section! The rest of the list is recommended for readers 15 years or older given the lexicon of many of the books so we created a youth section for younger readers up to 14 years old. There’s a column that tells you what grade level the texts in the preK-9th grade section are recommended for also. But of course, you and your children are free to read whatever you want to or are comfortable reading.
The third slide is an example of what kind of things you can submit!

It may be cliche, but knowledge is power and literacy makes our collective power stronger!
Arizona is facing a literacy crisis with only 26% of fourth graders proficient in reading and with our state defunding education and funding prisons, and detention centers instead, it’s time to take action!
Join us on our summer reading challenge!
Readers from all ages can read from our suggested list (check our bio) or from your own and win prizes! Be creative in how you choose to present what you gained from your reading and message us on socials or email [email protected].
