πŸ† Celebrating Youth Voices, Healing, and Hope πŸ†

JJC Family Services CERC was proud to partner with the Show Me The Way Foundation for the second consecutive year to present the "I Have a Suggestion" Essay Contest to End Gun Violence.

Over six weeks, youth participated in workshops led by Ms. Tina Collins, founder of the Show Me The Way Foundation, exploring the impact of trauma, healing, resilience, and community. Through thoughtful discussion and powerful writing, participants reflected on both gun violence and the broader challenges that young people face every day.

We are proud to congratulate this year's winners:

πŸ₯‡ 1st Place – Mekhi
πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place – Zyhaire
πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place – Kyair

Most importantly, we celebrate every participant who courageously shared their voice, perspective, and vision for a safer and healthier future.

In the coming weeks, participants will travel to Harrisburg to meet with lawmakers and continue advocating for positive change.

Thank you to Ms. Tina Collins and the Show Me The Way Foundation for another impactful partnership, and congratulations to all of our young writers. Your voices matter, your stories matter, and your ideas have the power to create change.
