July 11th at Wyck Garden

Since our bodies need time to acclimate, early-season heat can increase health risks. That’s why preparing communities for elevated temperatures is important. In Philly, heat doesn’t affect every neighborhood the same way. Some areas can be up to 22 degrees hotter than others! We focus on these hotter areas of the city to raise awareness about heat-related illness, available assistance, and places to stay safe and cool.
