What does it actually look like to build a life around justice work?

At Kumi Exploration, teens explored this question and heard from (and talked with!) a panel of Jewish leaders: Jesse Rabinowitz (Campaign and Communications Director at National Homelessness Law Center ), Dora Chen ( Deputy General Counsel at Service Employees International Union), and Rachel Faulkner (Senior Director of Events and Programs National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW)) about what their day-to-day actually looks like. Students asked questions, shared their own ideas, and imagined what their own lives might look like in justice spaces.

In a new piece for Evolve, Rebecca Ezersky reflects on the power of Kumi Justice Retreats, a Moving Traditions experience where high schoolers build a multiracial, pluralistic Jewish community of belonging while learning how to interrupt racism and antisemitism.
