Today, we celebrate the 100th birthday of Mildred Bond Roxborough and nearly nine decades of her standing shoulder to shoulder with the NAACP in the fight for justice.

At just nine years old, Mildred was already selling subscriptions to The Crisis, and she's been a member since 1937.

Since joining the NAACP staff in 1954, Mildred has been at the forefront of the fight against segregation, racial violence, attacks on voting rights, and unequal education. Her life is a testament to what it means to commit to something fully and fearlessly.
