City of Philadelphia:
Help Make Creative Philadelphia A Permanent Office


Dear Arts Advocate,

We need your voice at City Hall.

Did you know that the City of Philadelphia still does not have a permanent Office dedicated to Arts & Culture? Establishing a permanent Office within the City’s government structure is critical to ensuring long-term stability and support for the creative sector across mayoral administrations.

Councilmember Isaiah Thomas has sponsored a resolution to amend Philadelphia’s Home Rule Charter to establish Creative Philadelphia (formerly the Office of Arts, Culture, and the Creative Economy) as a permanent Cabinet-level department. The resolution goes before the City Council Committee on Law and Government.

Now, we need the arts and culture community to show up in support.

Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to get through building security

How to Attend:
Enter City Hall via the Northeast Entrance
ID and sign in required to enter through metal detectors
Sign in with Purpose/Destination: Room 400 for Committee Hearing
There are stairs straight ahead or take elevator to 4th floor
On the 4th floor: Proceed down the hallway, pass through a second security checkpoint to room, and enter Room 400.

On Memorial Day, we reflect on the dedication of our armed forces and military families and remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We salute their service, honor their sacrifice, and cherish their memory.
