This week is 623 day. Its a day of preparation and celebration. This 623 day we will be at the gates giving out contract surveys for our 2028 UPS contract negotiations. This UPS contract negotiation cycle will be like no other before it. That is why we are preparing early. We will have our 1st Contract meeting July 12th at 1 pm, in person and on zoom.
We know whats important to us, we want to know whats important to you. The grievance procedure needs an overhaul. The company delays the grievance process on purpose and for a purpose. That purpose is so members get frustrated and wont hold them accountable. They have become better at delaying the grievances than delivering packages.
We need more teeth around 9.5 violations and protections against AI and automation. The retaliation and harassment is at an all time high, we need stronger language that protects our members and their families. Companies should think twice before retaliating against a union member, but UPS does not.
Roadie and other subsidiary companies that UPS owns is taking our work, harming the future of our families.
