Bridesburg Cougars Cheerleading Brideburg Cougars Cheerleading is celebrating 15 seasons as a competitive rec program in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia.

We offer teams for athletes ages 5–18 and focus on building confidence, teamwork & community spirit—on and off the mat. Bridesburg Cheerleading is very excited for our 12th season as a competitive cheerleading organization in Philadelphia, PA. We are a traditional rec program offering teams for athletes ages 5-18. This past season all 5 of our teams ended their season as National Champs! Our 18u a

nd 14u teams won their division at Americheer Internationals and our 6u,8u and 12u won at Eastern Cheer Hershey Nationals! We also offer a cheerabilities team without any age restrictions. This team competes locally a few times each season and practices 1x a week beginning in September. We are excited to officially kick off our first fundraiser of Season 16 — the Bridesburg Cougars Cheerleading Cash Prize Giveaway!

This fundraiser will support our 12U and 18U teams as they begin raising funds for the upcoming season and work toward offsetting team expenses.

Tickets: $10 each
Prizes:
• Grand Prize: $500
• Second Prize: $300
• Third Prize: $200

All ticket stubs and payments are due back by Thursday, June 25th.

We encourage everyone to help spread the word and support our athletes. If you are interested in purchasing tickets, please contact one of our athletes for your chances to win!

Today, we proudly recognize four incredible young women who have been an important part of the Bridesburg Cougars family: Irelynne, Sami, Jada, and Mya.

As they close this chapter and begin the next, we want them to know just how proud we are of everything they have accomplished. Their dedication, hard work, and commitment have helped shape our program and leave a lasting impact on the athletes who look up to them.

Tonight, Irelynne, Sami, and Jada graduated from Franklin Towne Charter High School, and next week Mya will graduate from Girls High School. Together, these four seniors represent what it means to be a Cougar.

While it is hard to imagine our team without them, we are so excited to see where life takes each of them next. We know their futures are bright, and we cannot wait to watch them continue to achieve amazing things.

Congratulations, Irelynne, Sami, Jada, and Mya! Thank you for everything you have given to this program. Once a Cougar, always a Cougar!

We're now accepting registrations for our Half-Season Team:
6U Cougar Cubs

Our Cubs program is the perfect introduction to competitive cheerleading! Athletes will practice on Friday evenings beginning in September and will attend several local competitions throughout the season. This program focuses on building confidence, teamwork, athletic skills, and a love for cheer in a fun and supportive environment.

Athlete Eligibility:
• Athletes must be 4 years old on or before August 31, 2026
• Athletes may not turn 7 years old before September 1, 2026

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO PURCHASE T-SHIRTS!

We will be heading to Citizens Bank Park on Monday, June 15th as the Philadelphia Phillies take on the Miami Marlins at 6:40 PM for Country Night!

An email has officially been sent to all registered Season 16 athletes with information and links to:

Tickets are available until they sell out, and shirt orders must be submitted by Thursday, May 28th at 6:00 PM.

The weather forecast is showing no rain for the parade!

All of our athletes and their families are invited to walk with us in the annual Bridesburg Memorial Day Parade tomorrow, May 25th!

Everyone should be at Bridge Field (next to the Betsy Ross Bridge) by 9:30am. The parade kicks off at 10:00am.

We understand the weather hasn’t been great this weekend, but the parade is rain or shine. We will make a final decision by 8:00am on Monday regarding our participation and will communicate any updates at that time.

Parents are encouraged to walk with us, but if you feel comfortable sending your athlete with us, that is totally fine too! Please just meet us at Richmond & Orthodox (Rite Aid parking lot) to pick up your athlete after the parade.

All participating athletes should bring a large bag of candy to pass out along the parade route!

This is one of my favorite days of the year, hope to see you there with us!
