Frankford Residents, Please Be Aware!

Scammers are posing as utility workers in an attempt to gain access to homes and obtain personal or financial information. We encourage all residents to stay alert and take a moment to review the warning signs and safety tips in the flyer below.

Ask for official identification
Never provide banking or personal information to unexpected visitors or callers
Be cautious of demands for immediate payment
Contact the utility company directly if you have concerns

Please share this information with your family, friends, and neighbors—especially older adults who may be more vulnerable to these scams.

Frankford CDC is inviting local business owners to share input on this upcoming meeting focused on supporting the corridor. We know that a clean and welcoming corridor has a direct impact on your success, and we want to hear your perspective.

Representatives from Taking Care of Business, the Philadelphia Sanitation Department, and the Office of Clean and Green will be present to share information, answer questions, and discuss resources available to businesses.

When: June 24th, 9:00AM - 10:30AM

This program is designed to help beautify neighborhoods, strengthen community connections, and build block pride through improvements such as:
• Garden beds & plantings
• Tree trimming/replacement
• Sidewalk repairs
• Fence repair/installations
• Lawn restoration
• Vacant lot cleanups
• Rain barrels
• Debris removal
…and more!
