🏙️ THE FUTURE OF OUR COMMERCIAL CORRIDORS MATTERS.

Yesterday, we attended a press conference with Philadelphia City Council Majority Leader Katherine Gilmore Richardson to hear more about proposed legislation addressing 24-hour smoke shops across Philadelphia.

For communities like Frankford, the condition and character of our commercial corridors matter. Our neighborhoods deserve thriving business districts that attract investment, support responsible business owners, and create welcoming spaces for residents and visitors alike.

The proposed legislation seeks to establish stricter zoning requirements for smoke shops, addressing concerns about where these businesses can operate and their concentration in certain areas.

As this legislation moves before City Council, we recognize the importance of continued conversations around accountability, responsible business practices, and the future of our neighborhood corridors.

Strong commercial corridors help build strong communities. We look forward to seeing continued attention brought to the challenges facing Philadelphia's neighborhoods.

How does air quality in our neighborhood affect our health and everyday lives? 🌬️🏘️

Frankford CDC is sharing an opportunity for community members to make their voices heard! Join Fran at the **Frankford CDC Daral Building on Monday, October 12, from 11 AM–3 PM** to share your thoughts and experiences with air quality in Frankford.

📝 **What to expect:**
- Complete a voluntary, 10-minute survey about air quality and health.
- Share your experiences and perspectives as a member of the Frankford community.
- Receive a **$10 Dunkin’ gift card** as compensation for your time.

🗣️ Language assistance may be available to help you participate.

Your experiences matter! Community input can help researchers better understand the relationship between neighborhood air quality and health.

Participation is completely voluntary. If you’re available, stop by, ask questions, and consider taking part!
