Bridesburg Loves to Read
What started out as a closet clean out has become an on-going opportunity to get books into the hands of readers while we are under stay-at-home orders due to COVID-19. Through the generous book donations from family, friends, and neighbors, I am to get about 100 books every weekday that the weather is nice. The books are bagged and labeled so visitors can easily grab something that appeals to them. The titles range from board books for babies to novels for adults with something for everyone in between. Everybody is invited to stop by 2701 Orthodox Street next to the Edgemont Caterer in Bridesburg and grab a bag (or two) of books to read while we are staying close to home to help flatten the curve of the Corona Virus. If you’d like to make a donation to keep the project going, we need books for all levels, gallon and 2-gallon sized plastic bags, binder clips, and individually wrapped candy treats for our young readers. Donations can be dropped off over the fence in the backyard if we do not answer the door.
