🐾 Introducing Foster Friday! 🐾

Every Friday, we’ll be highlighting some of our cats who are currently in foster care and looking for their forever homes. And who better to kick things off than Peaches (slides 4-6) & Mango (slides 1-3)? 🧡

These two sisters are about 2 years old and extra special for a very fun reason: they’re both girls! 🧡🧡 Orange cats are overwhelmingly male, so having TWO orange girls is pretty rare!

Some of you may recognize Peaches & Mango as former cafe residents. We moved them into foster care after realizing that the only cats they really wanted to be around were each other. The good news? They’re incredibly friendly with people! They love pets, attention, and being part of the action. Mango is especially outgoing and will happily be all over you, while Peaches is a little more shy when meeting new people and just needs a bit of time to warm up.

They’re playful, silly, and guaranteed to keep you entertained while also making you feel very loved. And they can be adopted together as a pair or as an only cat, so there’s a perfect home out there for these two sweet girls. 🧡

🐾 We are blessed with some seriously AMAZING cats at the PURR Cat Café… but we’re just as blessed with our AMAZING volunteers! ❤️

And we have to give an extra shoutout to the volunteers who somehow manage to capture the personalities of our kitties in the cutest pictures imaginable. 📸😻 These pictures help us show off our cats, promote the café, and—most importantly—help our adoptable kitties find their forever homes.

So THANK YOU to our volunteers for loving these cats, caring for them, cleaning up after them, AND making them look like the little supermodels they clearly believe they are. 😂❤️

We had the best time at West Philly Cat Fest last weekend! 🐱💗 We got to bring some of our adorable kittens along for a night of kitten cuddles, cat lovers, and lots of purrs.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hi and cuddle some kittens! And thank you to Floop and Pentridge Station for having us! We love getting to be part of the Philly cat community. 🐈‍⬛💕

🎉🐾 So Many Wonderful Adoptions to Celebrate! 🐾🎉

We have so many great adoptions to announce from the past week or two, and we couldn’t be happier for these beautiful cats!

First, our gorgeous Siamese, Angelique, has been adopted! She will be the queen of the castle in her new home and we are so excited to see her begin this next chapter.

Next, our sweet girls Rosie and Rachel were adopted together into an amazing home. These two are going to have the very best life side by side, and we’re thrilled they get to stay together.

Our handsome stunner, Sir Maxwell, has also found his forever home! He will have a gentle big sister, which will be perfect for his sweet nature and his love of other cats. We know they will be wonderful companions.

And then there’s Cupid, our ridiculously adorable orange, long-haired polydactyl! He was adopted this week and will be joining two other kitties in his new home. He’s going to have so much fun, and we are incredibly excited for him!

And last, but certainly not least, we saved the very best for last: our absolutely incredible cat Luna finally found her forever home after being with us for more than a year! Luna came to us with five babies who had been born on a porch, and she took the very best care of them. After her kittens grew up and found homes, Luna spent nearly a year in the café, patiently waiting for her own family.

She is such an amazingly perfect cat that we truly couldn’t understand why it took so long for her to be adopted. But her wait was worth it—she has gone to an absolutely amazing home with a friend of close friends, and we know she is going to live the best life ever. We are so incredibly happy for this special girl!

We are overjoyed for all of these kitties and their wonderful adoptions, even though we will miss each of them dearly. Please join us in wishing Angelique, Rosie, Rachel, Sir Maxwell, Cupid, and Luna the very best as they begin their new lives. Thank you to their adopters for opening their hearts and homes, and thank you to everyone who supports PURR and helps make happy endings like these possible. 💜🐾

There is absolutely no question that Clyde has found the spot. 😂 A huge thank you to Julia Arnold, one of our amazing volunteers, for capturing this hilarious video that perfectly demonstrates just how much this handsome boy loves a good scratch!

But beyond the adorable reaction, Clyde is truly an incredible cat. Around 4-5 years old, this big, lovable guy is as sweet as they come. He’s gentle, affectionate, and happy to soak up all the attention you are willing to give. While he can be a little timid at first, he does well with other cats and would fit into just about any home. Honestly, it’s hard to understand why this wonderful boy is still waiting for a family of his own 😻😻.

Clyde is fully vetted (neutered, vaccinated, flea treated, dewormed, combo tested negative, and microchipped) and is ready to head home with his forever family asap!
His adoption fee is $125.

🎉 WE HAVE AN ADOPTION TO CELEBRATE — CREAMSICLE! 🧡🏡

We have really fallen off when it comes to announcing our adoptions lately, and we need to fix that! Every single adoption is a moment worth celebrating, so we’re going to try to get back into the habit of sharing these happy endings.

And what better way to start than with Creamsicle! 🧡

Creamsicle is such a special little girl. She’s a young female who was found abandoned outside, and she is sweet beyond words. But she’s also incredibly submissive and quiet. At the café, she was never going to be the cat pushing her way to the front of the line, climbing into someone’s lap or demanding that visitors notice her. In fact, she tended to spend most of her time hanging out in the basement, which meant she was very easy for visitors to overlook.

Fortunately, sometimes the right adopter comes along and we get to play matchmaker. ❤️

We had a wonderful approved adopter who we thought might be a perfect fit for Creamsicle, so we decided we were going to make this introduction happen—even if it meant literally luring Creamsicle up from her basement hideaway and setting everyone up in our back area, which is definitely NOT our most glamorous meet-and-greet space. 😂

It didn’t matter….Within minutes, it was obvious. Her adopter fell completely in love with her, and even more amazing was watching Creamsicle realize that this person was there for HER.

We watched this quiet, submissive little cat absolutely flourish in about 10 minutes. She came alive. She relaxed. She soaked up the attention. It was honestly like watching a completely different cat emerge right in front of us.

Those are the moments that are so incredibly special. We wish Creamsicle so much happiness as she heads to her forever home, where she will be the one and only kitty and the undisputed queen of her castle. 👑🐾 While she does perfectly fine around other cats, we have a feeling she is going to LOVE having a home, a person and all that attention completely to herself.

For a little girl who was abandoned outside and then spent so much time quietly waiting in the background, it’s finally Creamsicle’s turn to be the center of someone’s world!
