🎃🧺🍕 Raffle Basket Making Party!

Join us this Saturday, October 17, from 3–8 PM to help put together raffle baskets for PURR’s upcoming Halloween Spooktacular!

Bring a completed basket, donate items for baskets, or lend a hand assembling and wrapping! Some themes we’re working on include:

🏈 Philly sports teams
💄 Beauty and pampering
🍷 Liquor baskets
🎁 Gift card baskets

Those are just a few ideas—we welcome other themes and donations, too! Have some goodies but aren’t sure how they fit together? Bring them along. We’re great at coming up with themes!

Hang out with like-minded cat lovers, enjoy pizza, and help us turn your generosity into baskets people will be excited to win. Whether you join us for an hour or the whole party, come help us raise money for our kitties! 🐾

We will be meeting at the facility of The Cat Collaborative in the Arsenal Business Complex. Detailed directions below:

The address is 5401 Tacony Street and we are in Building 209. The entrance to our space is from the rear loading dock between Building 209 and 210. Go through the security gate (tell the guard you are with The Cat Collaborative). Continue past the stop sign and the fire hydrant on your left and then turn right before building 219. Continue to the 2nd stop sign and make a left there. Go towards the back of the buildings and make a right before the fence line and then look for signs for The Cat Collaborative.

🐾🧡 FOSTER FRIDAY: MEET CECE! 🧡🐾

Cece’s story is one of patience, trust, and learning that the world isn’t such a scary place after all. 🥹

When Cece was found outside with her five babies living under a shed, she seemed almost feral. But her trappers had a good feeling about this girl and decided to take a chance on socializing her. And we’re SO glad they did. ❤️

In just a few months, Cece has made HUGE strides and blossomed into the sweetest girl! She’s still a little nervous around loud noises and fast movements, and she might back away when she gets spooked. But here’s the thing about Cece: she always comes back. 🥹 She’s learning to trust, and every day she shows us just how much love she has inside that little heart of hers.

Cece will need a patient adopter who understands that she might take some time to feel comfortable in a new home. Right now, she loves having a cozy hiding spot to relax in, usually under a bed, where she can observe the world at her own pace. But once she decides she’s ready for attention? WATCH OUT. 😂 She’ll emerge to demand affection with the most aggressive headbutts, climb all over you, purr up a storm, and make biscuits like there’s no tomorrow. 🧡

As for other cats, Cece can absolutely be an only cat, but she also seems to do well with other adult cats! Kittens, however, are a different story. 😂 After raising five babies of her own, Cece has officially decided she’s RETIRED from kitten duty. She’s ready to be someone’s baby now! 🐈

This girl has come such a long way, and we know there’s still so much more of her personality waiting to shine. She just needs someone willing to give her the time and space to get there.

Cece might take a little patience, but we promise the wait will be SO worth it. She has so much love to give, and we can’t wait for her to find the person who gets to experience all of it. Could that person be you? 🏡

Come visit our cover model, Astro, at the PURR CAT CAFE !!

OUR KITTIES MADE THE COVER!!! 😻🎉

A huge thank-you to Philadoptables for including our PURR kitties in the 2027 Hunks for Hounds calendar—and giving them the COVER 😻😻😻.

Over the last few years, we have been so grateful to be included in the calendar at all! It was such an honor when cats were first invited to join a calendar that was historically dedicated to hunks and hounds. Our kitties were officially infiltrating the dog rescue world! 😂🐾. But the COVER?! You cannot imagine our surprise and excitement when we found out. Literally took our breath away and we are still over the moon ❤️❤️❤️.

As thrilled as we are to see our cats front and center, we are even prouder to be associated with the amazing people behind this calendar. Philadoptables does soooooo much for animals throughout the Philadelphia area — supporting rescue groups, individual families, and animals who need someone in their corner. Their kindness, compassion, and generosity mean so much to those of us doing this work and they have changed the lives of so many animals in need 💗💕💗💕.

We also want to send a huge thanks to the amazing guys from Tesla Tree Service for being the human models with our kitties. They are literal heroes who have saved hundreds (if not thousands) of kitties from life threatening situations. As a bonus, they are also quite easy on the eyes 🤪. We are so proud to be paired with them 😻😻😻.

Please consider buying a calendar—or a few! They make wonderful gifts, feature some very handsome humans and ridiculously adorable animals, and support an organization that gives so much to our rescue community.

Let’s help make 2027 their biggest calendar sales year yet! Thank you, Philadoptables, for everything you do—and for giving our kitties their cover-star moment! 😻📸

And if you are ever in need of tree services, think of nobody other than Tree Service!!

PS - the kitty on the left (Paulie) has already been adopted but Astro is still available. Come meet him at the PURR CAT CAFE !!

When Patrick came to us, he was in absolutely devastating condition. His mouth was so severely infected that we truly feared he might not survive the pain long enough to make it to surgery. Eating was agony. Living was agony. It was one of the most heartbreaking cases we’ve seen.

After undergoing a much-needed dental procedure—where nearly all of his teeth had to be extracted—Patrick finally got relief. And almost immediately, you could see it… the pain was gone. He felt better. He was better. For the first time in a long time, Patrick could just exist without suffering.
What we see now is a completely different cat—but also one who carries the quiet weight of everything he’s been through.

Patrick is incredibly gentle, soft, and submissive. He asks for so very little. Give him a clean bowl of water, some soft wet food, and a cozy blanket, and he is content. He absolutely loves human affection—but he’ll never demand it. He won’t push his way to the front. He won’t compete for attention. He just waits… patiently… hoping someone notices him. And that’s what breaks our hearts the most.

Patrick has likely spent years struggling—fighting for food, being overlooked, possibly bullied by other cats. Because of that, he would do best in a calm home as an only cat, or possibly with other very easygoing, cat-friendly companions who will respect his space.

If you have a quiet home and an open heart for a cat who will never ask for much—but deserves absolutely everything—please consider Patrick. He is so, so special.
