WCI is so grateful to be a Philadelphia Foundation Fund for Children grantee! The Fund for Children's continued support of our Girls Advocacy and Leadership Series (GALS) has allowed us to expand our programming into new partner schools and increase our impact each year. The generosity of the donors who contribute to the Fund for Children supports WCI in providing free programming to our partner high schools that leads to the creation of a new generation of youth advocates confidently working to make positive social change in their communities. Thank you, !

WCI strives to provide the necessary skills, knowledge, and culturally-sensitive support to women around the world. The support aspect is a huge part of the fundraising that we are doing for Malawi now.

Malawi has faced some tragedy due to Cyclone Freddy. They are dealing with displacement, death, missing persons, and a lack of resources. WCI has been consistently raising money for our partners in Malawi and we would like to continue these efforts

With the help of donations we can continue to aid Malawi. If you would like to donate to help with the troubles from Cyclone Freddy visit: https://lnkd.in/e3EMHzbM

This year, GALS participants at our partner school, Swenson Arts & Technology, created and implemented an advocacy campaign to address youth homelessness. Participants hosted a bake sale and a donation drive to raise funds and collect items to create care packages for HopePHL, an organization that inspires Philadelphia's children, youth, families and communities to thrive by providing housing, advocacy, and trauma-responsive social services designed to promote equity, resilience, autonomy, and well-being.

The students raised enough items to create 144 care packages! We are so grateful for the empathy, hard work and commitment to community service shown by our GALS participants. We can't wait to see what our participants do next!
