U.S.-China EcoPartnership - PHL & TEDA

U.S.-China EcoPartnership - PHL & TEDA The PHL/TEDA EcoPartnership was signed July 10, 2014 in the presence of U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry and China's State Councilor YANG Jiechi.

The objective of the EcoPartnership is to facilitate a cooperative relationship between the EcoParnters for sharing of best practices and implementing a targeted pilot program that can serve as a model and spur broad replication by their peers in the U.S and China. This EcoPartnership between Greater Philadelphia (the City of Philadelphia Commerce Department as public partner and China Partnership

of Greater Philadelphia as private partner) and the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) aims to bring Greater Philadelphia-based corporate best practices and entrepreneurially-based innovation resources to support specific TEDA projects in the areas of green building operations, demand-response online monitoring systems for electricity, and wetland pollution reduction. The goal is to create an urban infrastructure-focused cleantech cooperation and exchange platform that can have measurable impact at the regional and national levels.
