If you've been thinking about setting up a table at the Mexican Independence Day Festival, now is the time to email us. We only have 2 spaces and we won't be able to open more after August 31.

The Mexican Cultural Center has run classroom programs, exhibitions, festivals, and artist showcases across Greater Philadelphia, South Jersey, and Delaware for more than three decades. We've done all of it out of borrowed rooms, rented halls, and other people's buildings.

We need a permanent home. A place where the art lives, where the classes happen, where you take your cousins when they visit from out of town.

That's what we're building toward. A permanent home for Mexican culture in Philadelphia. Not just a bigger festival, a permanent home.

Last year, thousands of people walked the waterfront. Every one of them walked past the vendor row.

We have a limited number of spaces at the Mexican Independence Day Festival, and we want them filled with the people who make this community look like itself. Artisans, jewelers, designers, anyone who sells what they make with their own hands.

Bring your crafts, your clothing, your jewelry, your art.
One rule this year: no edible goods.

El año pasado, miles de personas recorrieron el waterfront. Todas pasaron por la fila de vendedores.

Tenemos espacios limitados para el Festival de la Independencia de México, y los queremos llenos de la gente que hace lucir a nuestras comunidades. Artesanos, joyeros, diseñadores, gente que vende lo que hace con sus propias manos.

Trae tus artesanías, tu ropa, tu joyería, tu arte.
Una sola regla este año: nada de comestibles.

We need 60 volunteers on September 13. Add your name to the list today.

Here's what the day actually looks like from the inside:
You show up, you get a shirt, you get a free meal, and for a few hours you're part of the crew that makes the whole thing run.

One Sunday, just a few hours. The honest truth is that this festival has never once happened just because of the staff. It happens because 60 people from this community decide to spend their afternoon making it happen.

Volunteers must be 18 or older. If that's you, we'd be glad to have you!
