We support autistic, neurodivergent, and disabled artists, as well as those beginning their creative journeys. The Autistic Art Coalition of Philadelphia is a nonprofit community organization based in Philadelphia dedicated to supporting autistic, neurodivergent, and disabled artists and those who are getting into art. We are an autistic founded & autistic-run group on creating a Neuroinclusive,

welcoming, and accessible spaces where people of all abilities can express themselves creatively. Mission & Vision:
* The coalition’s core purpose is to provide a safe, supportive space for autistic, neurodivergent, and disabled artists to create, share, and exhibit art with the guidance of art professionals.
* Its long-term vision includes becoming a leading regional art organization that promotes and celebrates autistic and neurodivergent artists, with goals like hosting a sensory-friendly art show that’s one of the largest of its kind in the Philadelphia area. Programs & Activities:
* AACOPhilly offers a range of free art programming for participants of all ages. This includes open studio sessions, art workshops, community art classes, and exhibitions.
* Programs run out of The Tacony lab communityAB Community Arts Center, we are also are known to have taught with the Please Touch Museum & at Community Partners Locations throughout Philadelphia and are designed to be neuroinclusive and supportive for varying skill levels—from beginners to seasoned creators.
* The coalition also organizes exhibitions (including sensory-friendly shows), portfolio reviews, and events that help artists connect with the broader community. Community Impact:
* Founded in 2022 in response to a lack of art opportunities for autistic individuals after the COVID-19 pandemic, AACOPhilly has grown into a diverse creative community where people who may have felt like outsiders can thrive and communicate through art.
* The organization has been featured in exhibitions and has contributed to cultural programming in local venues, increasing visibility and opportunities for neurodivergent artists. In summary, the Autistic Art Coalition of Philadelphia is a community-centered arts organization that uses creative expression as a means of empowerment, neuroinclusion, and self-advocacy for autistic and neurodivergent people in the Philadelphia region. 🎶 The Autistic Art Coalition of Philadelphia Choir Is Rebooting! 🎶

We’re rebooting The Autistic Art Coalition of Philadelphia Choir, and we want to hear from YOU! 🎤

If you’re interested in singing, performing, or simply being part of a community choir, come out Tuesday, August 25, from 6:00–8:00 PM at:

📍 Tacony LAB Community Art Center
6918 Torresdale Avenue
Philadelphia, PA

🎨 During the class:
Community celebrity teacher Jackie will be teaching the basics of watercolor painting and how to use watercolor pencils.

🎶 During the final 15–30 minutes, we’ll have a conversation about the choir, singing, and what people are interested in exploring together.

And don’t worry if there isn’t a lot of interest right away! This is a REBOOT. The choir is still happening. We’re simply starting the conversation, finding our singers, and figuring out what this new chapter can look like together.

Come paint. Come sing. Come listen. Come be part of the reboot! 💜🎨🎶

The AACOP Choir is coming back!
