Open Hearts Cafe

🏷️Next Sidewalk Sale to benefit our service ministry Open Hearts is on Saturday, Oct 17, 11 am-2 pm🎉
❓Where do the clothes come from?
➡️ Neighbors donate clothing and drop it off at the church.
❓Does it go to Open Hearts guests first?
➡️Yes! Vulnerable neighbors get priority. Anything guests don’t have a need for—think ball gowns, jewelry, high heels, summer clothing in the winter or vice versa—gets sold during sidewalk sales
❓Where does the money go?
➡️Every single cent and penny goes to support Open Hearts. The money raised helps to buy daily coffee and snacks, catered hot meals 🥗 🍜from served to hundreds of guests on Tuesdays and Sundays, and essential hygiene products.
🙋🏽‍♀️What other questions do you have about our service ministry?

😔Why so sad, Robyn? Our clothing racks are empty.

🚨We need your help: calling for hoodies and sweatshirts!

🧥Our service ministry Open Hearts Cafe has been super busy serving our vulnerable neighbors, especially as the temperatures begin to drop.
If you’re cleaning your closet and have sweatshirts or hoodies to donate, drop them off any time between 10 am to 3 pm from Mondays to Thursdays.

🎁Or purchase these high need items off of our Amazon wishlist by visiting htrit.org/open-hearts-cafe/

🎂When we celebrate our rectors Rachel and John, we’re celebrating us: all of us in our church which is a place where everyone can belong.

✂️Here are just a few snippets from the decorations prep work our Dir. of Operations and Outreach Robyn Schnieders and Administrative Coordinator Chiquita Anderson led to the special 🙏🏽Vestry prayers and choir processional 🎼that were a part of our Choral Matins service.

📸We had photographer Ryan Brandenberg take pics throughout the day, which we’ll be sharing later this week!
