As we conclude Black Maternal Health Week…

This work is rooted in real experiences,
real conversations, and real needs.

Too often, mothers are left to navigate care alone, this space exists to change that.

Because when we know better,
we care for ourselves better.

By Mothers. For Mothers. Always. 💜

Hey mama 💕

Your smile is more powerful than you think.

What starts in your mouth can shape your baby’s health too, from shared moments like kisses to long-term habits.

But here’s the beautiful part…
✨ You have the power to break that cycle.

Small things matter:
• Brushing + flossing daily
• Keeping your dental visits
• Protecting your peace and your health

You’re not just caring for yourself
you’re building generational health.

💗 Your smile. Your baby’s protection.

Hey mama 💜

Diabetes during pregnancy doesn’t just affect your body, it can affect your baby too.

High blood sugar can increase inflammation throughout your body, even in your gums, raising the risk of complications like preeclampsia and preterm birth.

And it goes both ways…
Gum disease can make it harder to control your blood sugar.

Everything is connected.

Taking care of your oral health is part of taking care of you 💜

Hey mama 💜
What starts in your gums doesn’t stay there.

Inflammation can allow bacteria to enter your bloodstream and travel through your body, even reaching your baby.

That’s why oral health during pregnancy matters more than most people realize.

Gum disease has been linked to complications like preterm birth and preeclampsia.

But here’s the good part:
✨ It’s preventable
✨ It’s treatable
✨ And you deserve care

If your gums are swollen, bleeding, or tender, don’t ignore it.

Your smile is part of your pregnancy care 💜

Hey mama 💜 your gums can change during pregnancy and it matters.

Tenderness, swelling, or bleeding?
It could be pregnancy gingivitis, and it affects more moms than you think.

The good news? It’s treatable, and dental care during pregnancy is safe.

Your smile is part of your pregnancy care, don’t overlook it.
